Contracting Services

What Do We Mean by This?
Contracting services refers to UNETY personnel who are under contract to work at your site, under your direction and management. Unlike project work which is typically done at our location, contract work is billed on a hourly basis and usually lasts 1 to 12 months.

Contracting services are typically divided into the following areas:
Web Project Managers
are the people who assist with planning and coordinating the Web-related initiatives. Typically, they:
  • select, hire, and supervise technical and marketing staff
  • recommend and interface with 3rd party vendors
  • coordinate meetings with the development team
  • develop and track work schedules
  • establish and maintain budgets
  • manage Change Orders
  • write and/or assemble relevant information
A Project Manager is often a critical part of ensuring that your site is developed on-time, under budget, and as smoothly as possible.

Web Developers
are the people who actually create the Web site. Typically, they:

  • design and test the user interface
  • create the graphics
  • create the special effects, if any
  • write and/or edit the content
  • design and load the database
  • write the custom code
  • implement the special effects
  • test the software
  • publish the Web site
  • make the day-to-day maintenance changes that every site needs
Web Developers are trained in the latest software tools and techniques. They can build your site from scratch or maintain your existing site.
