UNETY offers 56K, Fractional T1, and full T1 connections to businesses in the Chicagoland
area. Each connection has 2 components, the local loop and the access.
The local loop is the physical connection from your place of business to the nearest
high-speed access point. Ultimately, it is provided by Ameritech in the Chicagoland area,
but you can purchase it through a reseller. This is a popular option for many
of our clients who want to avoid interfacing with Ameritech. The cost of this service
varies depending on the distance from the business to the Internet access point.
The access component (sometimes called the subscription part) is provided by an
ISP (Internet Service Provider) and is a usage charge that allows customers
to send and receive data over a local loop from their business to the ISP.
The cost of this service varies depending on the speed of the line and/or the
volume of traffic.
